Erin M. Donovan

Major Gifts Officer / Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston

Erin Donovan, Major Gifts Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, joined the development team in April 2019. In her role, Erin plays an instrumental part in BGCB’s annual fundraising efforts by focusing on securing gifts from prospects who have the capacity to give $25,000+. Acting as an externally facing fundraiser, Erin works collaboratively with BGCB’s Individual Giving Leadership team to develop and implement overall strategies for fundraising, engagement, cultivation and stewardship, in an effort to help build the pipeline of Champion Society and Major Gift donors.

Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Erin worked for the Boston Red Sox in different capacities for 16 seasons, most recently as the Director of Client and Limited Partner Services. In this capacity, she managed and oversaw the services provided to Red Sox premium season ticket holders and served as a trusted liaison to Fenway Sports Group Limited Partners overseeing all facets of Spring Training ownership meetings and hospitality, MLB Postseason, and many other special events at Fenway Park. Throughout her tenure with the Boston Red Sox, Erin was fortunate to play a small part in many significant milestones in Red Sox history: (4) World Series Championships, Fenway Park’s 100th Anniversary, the evolution of Fenway Park concerts and events, a major renovation to Fenway Park’s premium club and seating areas and the longest home sellout streak in professional sports team history.

Erin is proud supporter of organizations based in the communities that have given back to her family over the years: Waltham, Dorchester and Boston. She serves on several committees, volunteers, and actively supports organizations such as the Waltham Boys & Girls Club, Red Sox Foundation, Jimmy Fund, Scholar Athletes, Opportunities for Inclusion, Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy and local youth sports teams, because of their commitment to serve young people in the community.

Born in Boston, MA, Erin grew up in Waltham, MA, where she proudly lived for 25+ years. She graduated with a BA in Public Relations in Sport and minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she was also a member of the Women’s Rugby team.

Erin resides in Dorchester with her husband Ben, their daughter, Marie (6) and son, Tommy (5).
